Our history

Deakin Farms has a rich history of farming in northern Utah. The original Deakin farm, established by Ed and Leah Deakin in 1929, was located in the Blue Creek Valley. The farm we currently operate was purchased by Michael and Emily Deakin from the Gordan and Marge Matheson Family. This land was being farmed conventionally when purchased by the Deakin Family. 2021 is the first year that Deakin farms is once again certified organic. Since 1994, excluding our 3 year transition period, we have produced exclusively organic products and remain committed to producing the highest quality organic products available and doing so in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.
